I spent the better part of a decade writing about skin for people who live and shop on the west side of Los Angeles, first as a magazine contributor and then on my own terms. Somewhere along the way I stopped being impressed by the loudest treatment in the room and started paying attention to the quiet ones that actually held up over time.

Beverly Hills Beauty Notes is where I keep that attention. It is a journal about lasers, light, glow, and the small decisions that separate a good result from a forgettable one. My interest runs toward the treatments people whisper about in the chair, laser facials, resurfacing, brown-spot correction, and the anti-aging work that reads as rested rather than done.

A few things I believe. The consultation is the treatment, and a provider who does not slow down to look at your skin is a provider to skip. The gentlest effective plan almost always beats the strongest one. And the best skin in this city rarely comes from doing more. It comes from doing the right thing, at the right depth, with someone who knows exactly what they are holding.

Nothing here is medical advice. It is one writer's considered notes, meant to make you a sharper, calmer patient before you ever sit down in a clinic. Read it that way, ask better questions because of it, and go find a provider worthy of your face.
